We do a lot of large family celebrations in Vaughan, along with corporate events on business properties in Concord. Tell us the guest count and the kind of event and we will suggest a size.

Bigger lots in Kleinburg and Maple can take a large marquee or pole tent for a seated dinner and dance floor. Our crew installs and secures it and removes it afterwards.

For a smaller group, a canopy tent is the cheaper option. Our canopies come in 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20, and we can join them together for a longer covered area, though joined canopies aren’t recommended if rain is likely. They fit well in townhouse yards and work as extra cover beside a larger tent. Some of the smaller canopies can also be picked up for free from our Oshawa location.

If the tent can’t be staked, for example on asphalt, concrete or interlock, we hold it down with concrete weights or water barrels. Which one we use depends on the forecast and the site: in an open area concrete weights are a must, while a backyard sheltered by houses may only need water barrels, which usually cost less.

Corporate parking lots in Concord and around the VMC are well suited to company events.

Add-ons for Vaughan tent rentals

For large family receptions, a dance floor, uplights and string lights are the usual additions. We also rent sidewalls, plastic flooring, artificial turf, flood lights, heaters, fans and coolers.

Planning a tent in Vaughan

• If we’ll be staking into the ground, request free underground utility locates from Ontario One Call before your install date.

• Larger tents may need a permit from the City of Vaughan. Check with them first; we’ll supply the tent documents they ask for.

• For business sites, confirm access, parking and timing with the property manager before the install date.

• Large estate events often need the bigger tent sizes, which book out first, so reserve early.

• Conservation areas such as Boyd are run by the TRCA, with their own booking rules.
