Tents for Courtice, right next door

Courtice is the closest town to our Oshawa warehouse, which makes it one of the easiest places for us to set up. We handle the install and takedown, and if something needs adjusting on the day, we are not far away.

Many Courtice homes are in newer subdivisions with young families, so we see a lot of birthdays, grad parties and backyard weddings here. Tell us your guest count and plans and we will suggest a tent.

For more than 20 guests, a marquee or pole tent keeps everyone under one cover for dinner and dancing. Our crew installs and levels it, and comes back to take it down.

For a smaller group, a canopy tent is the cheaper option. Our canopies come in 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20, and we can join them together for a longer covered area, though joined canopies aren’t recommended if rain is likely. They suit a backyard birthday, a shaded seating area or a food table at a street party. Some of the smaller canopies can also be picked up for free from our Oshawa location.

If the tent can’t be staked, for example on asphalt, concrete or interlock, we hold it down with concrete weights or water barrels. Which one we use depends on the forecast and the site: in an open area concrete weights are a must, while a backyard sheltered by houses may only need water barrels, which usually cost less.

In newer Courtice subdivisions where lawns are still settling, the driveway is often the better spot.

We rent sidewalls, plastic flooring, artificial turf, a dance floor, string lights, uplights, flood lights, heaters, fans and coolers. Heaters are popular for fall events here.

Planning a tent in Courtice

• If we’ll be staking into the ground, request free underground utility locates from Ontario One Call before your install date.

• Larger tents may need a permit from the Municipality of Clarington. Check with them first; we’ll supply the tent documents they ask for.

• Fresh sod in new subdivisions can be soft. Tell us how old your lawn is when you book.

• Courtice is close to our base, so we can often fit in last-minute bookings, but summer weekends still fill up.
