Milton has grown fast, and its newer neighbourhoods like Hawthorne Village, Willmott, Clarke, Beaty and Dempsey are full of young families hosting summer parties. We install tents across Milton and come back to take them down.

Grad parties, birthdays, backyard weddings and block parties are the usual Milton bookings. Tell us your guest count and plans and we will suggest a size.

For 20 or more guests, a marquee or pole tent keeps everyone under one roof. Our crew installs and secures it. Newer Milton lots are often compact, so we may suggest a narrower layout.

For a smaller group, a canopy tent is the cheaper option. Our canopies come in 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20, and we can join them together for a longer covered area, though joined canopies aren’t recommended if rain is likely. They are a good fit for townhouse yards and kids’ parties. Some of the smaller canopies can also be picked up for free from our Oshawa location.

If the tent can’t be staked, for example on asphalt, concrete or interlock, we hold it down with concrete weights or water barrels. Which one we use depends on the forecast and the site: in an open area concrete weights are a must, while a backyard sheltered by houses may only need water barrels, which usually cost less.

Where lawns are new or yards are small, a driveway setup often works better.

Planning a tent in Milton

• If we’ll be staking into the ground, request free underground utility locates from Ontario One Call before your install date.

• Larger tents may need a permit from the Town of Milton. Check with them first; we’ll supply the tent documents they ask for.

• New sod can stay soft for months. Let us know if your lawn was recently laid.

• Milton is a longer drive for us, so book a few weeks ahead for summer weekends.

• Kelso Conservation Area is run by Conservation Halton and has its own picnic and booking rules.
