Tent rentals across Toronto
Toronto yards are rarely simple. Narrow semis, laneway garages, shared driveways and tight side yards all come up regularly. We plan around them, install the tent, and come back to take it down.
Our Toronto work ranges from backyard weddings in the east end to school fundraisers, community street events and corporate parties on office parking lots. Tell us the space and the guest count and we will tell you what fits.
Toronto is one of our busiest delivery areas. We’ve delivered rentals to the Trinity Bellwoods Park picnic area, Lambton Golf and Country Club and The Neighbourhood Group Community Centre.

Marquee and pole tents for Toronto events

For groups over 20, a marquee or pole tent gives you one covered space. In the city the footprint is usually the limit, so photos and measurements of the space help us a lot before we quote.

Canopies for small Toronto yards
For a smaller group, a canopy tent is the cheaper option. Our canopies come in 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20, and we can join them together for a longer covered area, though joined canopies aren’t recommended if rain is likely. In a narrow Toronto backyard, one or two canopies are often the best fit. Some of the smaller canopies can also be picked up for free from our Oshawa location.

Tents on driveways, lots and patios in Toronto
If the tent can’t be staked, for example on asphalt, concrete or interlock, we hold it down with concrete weights or water barrels. Which one we use depends on the forecast and the site: in an open area concrete weights are a must, while a backyard sheltered by houses may only need water barrels, which usually cost less.
Office parking lots, school yards and condo courtyards are all possible, as long as the property manager approves it.

Add-ons for Toronto tent rentals
Uplights and string lights are popular for city evening events, and sidewalls help with privacy in close neighbourhoods. We also rent plastic flooring, artificial turf, a dance floor, flood lights, heaters, fans and coolers.
Planning a tent in Toronto
If we’ll be staking into the ground, request free underground utility locates from Ontario One Call before your install date.
Larger tents may need a permit from the City of Toronto. Check with them first; we’ll supply the tent documents they ask for.
Measure the yard and any gates or passages before you call. Access is often the deciding factor in the city.
For condos, offices and schools, get written approval from the property manager and check loading and parking rules.
Parks like Trinity Bellwoods have City of Toronto picnic and permit rules. Check what’s allowed for tents before planning one in a park.
Toronto tent rental FAQ
Yes. Our crew delivers, installs and takes down every marquee and pole tent. Some smaller canopies can also be picked up for free from our Oshawa location.
Only if the tent is being staked into the ground. Request them for free through Ontario One Call before the install date. On asphalt or concrete we use weights or water barrels, so no locates are needed.
Larger tents may need one from the City of Toronto, and arranging it is up to you. We provide all the documentation for our tents. Custom work that needs new engineering stamps may cost extra.
Tell us your guest count and what you’re planning under the tent, and we’ll recommend a size.
Sidewalls and heaters cover most Ontario weather. If the forecast is severe and an install isn’t safe, our team will contact you. If you need to cancel or move your date because of the weather, give us at least 3 days’ notice (subject to availability).
