Holiday Party Rentals in GTA and Durham Region

Party rentals for every holiday on your calendar

From Thanksgiving in October to Eid in the spring, the GTA spends about half the year celebrating something. The guest lists change and so does the food, but the same questions come up every time: where will everyone sit, how do we keep the food warm, and how do we keep people happy until the main event. This page is a starting point for all of them, with links to our pages for each holiday.

• Thanksgiving (October). A long family dinner, usually at home. Extra tables, chairs and linens are the main need, plus chafing dishes when the turkey comes out before the sides are ready.
• Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas (late October or November). Lights, big family dinners and community events at temples and halls. See our Diwali party rentals.
• Hanukkah (December). Eight nights, often with one larger gathering for family and friends. Extra seating and a buffet setup cover most of it.
• Christmas (December). Office parties, family dinners and outdoor tree lightings. See our Christmas party rentals.
• New Year's Eve (December 31). Sound, lighting, glassware for the toast and games to fill the hours before midnight. See our New Year's Eve party rentals.
• Lunar New Year (late January or February). Reunion dinners with round tables and community celebrations in halls.
• Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (spring, moving about 11 days earlier each year). Large family gatherings and community events, often with long buffet lines.

Holiday guest lists only grow. A good habit is to count your confirmed guests and add ten percent. Our 8 ft rectangular tables fit end to end with your dining table, and 6 ft rounds seat 8 to 10 in a hall where people move around. A kids table, high chair and booster seat keep the youngest guests close.

Chairs, tables and linens can be picked up free from our Oshawa location, or we can deliver and collect them. Only the legs fold on our regular tables, so bring a large van or truck if you're collecting them yourself. Setup is available for an extra fee. More on table sizes is on our chair and table rentals in Toronto page.

Holiday food is the reason people come, and it needs to stay warm through a long evening. Chafing dishes come with pans and two fuel cans, and each can burns for about two and a half hours. A 14.5 litre hot water dispenser keeps tea, chai or hot chocolate going, and a 100-cup coffee urn handles a crowd after dinner. Plates, bowls and glassware are available too. Rinse them with water before they come back.

Most of the holiday season happens in the cold and the dark. For a garage, a basement or any indoor space, our electric heaters are the right choice. Patio heaters are for open outdoor areas like a driveway gathering or a tree lighting. We don't recommend tents for winter parties, since it's too cold to set them up well, so plan outdoor parts of the night around heaters and good lighting instead.

String lights and curtain lights make a warm backdrop for photos, and uplights change the feel of a plain hall in minutes. Coat racks by the door are a small thing guests notice in December.

The best holiday parties have something to do between the meal and the main event. Our reaction ring, also called falling sticks, is the game people crowd around. Sticks drop from the ring without warning and players try to catch them, so every round is quick and every score is easy to beat. It works for a family party, an office celebration or a community event.

Giant Jenga, Giant Plinko and Spin the Wheel round things out, and Spin the Wheel is handy for prize draws. See our game rentals in Pickering for the full range.

We're based in Oshawa and deliver across Durham Region, Toronto, Peel, York and Halton. Weekends around each holiday fill up first, especially in December, so it's worth booking two to three weeks ahead. If your date is close, call us and we'll tell you what's still available.
